FAQ

The Porsche Experience Centre Hockenheimring is abbreviated to PEC HHR in the following.

1. General

You have free parking available directly at the PEC HHR.
The entire PEC HHR is designed to be accessible. Designated parking spaces are available in our underground garage.
We are happy to recommend our partner hotels in the vicinity of the PEC HHR to participants, which can be viewed here: Partner Hotels PEC HHR.
AC charging stations are available in our customer parking lot (regardless of vehicle brand). Additionally, customers with their own Porsche vehicle can use our DC charging stations. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please contact our reception, and we will be happy to assist you. 
Childcare is not provided at the PEC HHR; parents are responsible for their children. 

2. Driving programs & gastronomy

It is sufficient for you to arrive 15 minutes before the start of your Porsche driving program with us. You can find directions here. We recommend that you bring your printed booking confirmation with you so that a smooth process can be ensured at the gate of the Hockenheimring. 
The requirement for participation is a minimum age of 18 and possession of a valid driver's license. (Driving experience does not matter, but the respective program should be based on one's own skills and realistically assessed).
You are welcome to bring someone along with you for your driving activity. However, it is not possible for them to participate in the driving activity itself. The accompanying person will have access to the entire premises and building, from where they can enjoy excellent views of the circuit and the Hockenheimring. In the Pilot Basis program, companions are also allowed to actively participate as passengers. 
The driving programs offered through our webshop are available to Porsche drivers with their own vehicles. The following programs, which are bookable through our webshop, fall under this category: Pilot Basis, Pilot, Pilot Offroad, Pilot Advanced, Drift Training, and Accelerate. 
You'll experience an adrenaline-fueled 15-minute ride-along in your preferred Porsche model on our handling course. You can choose between the following vehicles: Porsche 911 or Taycan, GT4 Clubsport, or one of our Porsche legends (918 Spyder or Carrera GT). 
Upon your arrival at the PEC HHR, you will receive a 30-minute safety briefing from an instructor. Following this, your 60-minute driving activity on the respective track will immediately commence.
Upon arrival at the PEC HHR, you will receive a 30-minute safety briefing from an instructor. Following this, you will have the opportunity to test and improve your skills on the driving simulator. This will be achieved through data analysis of your digitally driven laps. With the newly gained knowledge, you will then proceed to the handling course with the chosen Porsche for 120 minutes (including data analysis). You will conclude the booked program with a lunch or dinner at our restaurant.
At the PEC HHR, you can enjoy the following dining options: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Café, or Business Lunch.
If the driver's license is readable here, meaning it is written in Roman letters, then an international driver's license is not required. However, if this is not the case, an international driver's license must be obtained before participating in the booked driving program and presented to us on the day of the driving event.
  • For our driving programs such as Pilot, Pilot Basis, and Accelerate, there is no helmet requirement. 
  • For our Track Experience events, a helmet is required for free driving on the handling course as well as on the GP course at Hockenheimring. 
  • Upon prior reservation and subject to availability, a helmet can be rented from the PEC HHR 
  • If heavy rain, snow, or severe weather occurs during ongoing driving operations, the driving activities will be interrupted for safety reasons. This decision is made by our Porsche-certified instructors. If the weather permits, activities will resume within the given time frame. There is no possibility of making up for the lost driving time. 
  • If a program cannot be conducted due to snow, ice, or severe weather, which can usually be anticipated 2-3 days in advance, you will be contacted as soon as possible and informed about the situation. Please refer to our terms and conditions, sections 13 and 14, for more information 

3. Booking Process

  • Step 1: Accessing the Webshop/Selecting a Program

    Our webshop serves as a combination of an online store and an experience configurator. You can access the shop through the following URL or the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring website:

    In the first step, you will choose a primary experience from our portfolio (e.g., Pilot-Mix).

  • Step 1: Accessing the Webshop/Selecting a Program

    Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to select your preferred vehicle that you would like to experience. Confirm your selection by clicking 'continue'

  • Step 2: Scheduling

    Now, you'll see a calendar display showing available dates for your driving program. All dates marked in black are available for booking. Please note that dates marked in red have limited participant availability.

    Once you've found a date that suits you, you'll see various time slots available. These time slots indicate the starting time of your event. Confirm your selection by clicking 'continue.

  • 3. Schritt: Enhance your Experience

    Have you successfully selected a program? Here, you'll have the opportunity to customize your experience beyond the driving activity. Would you like to conclude with a dinner in the evening or take a round in our high-quality simulators? Your imagination knows no bounds.

  • Step 4: Log-In

    If you are a new customer, it is necessary to create a new account. Fill out the template with the requested information. Upon initial registration, we kindly ask you to confirm the data protection consent once.

  • Step 5: Shopping Cart/Email Confirmation

    NAfter successful registration, you will be directed to your shopping cart. Here, we kindly ask you to provide additional information about your selected program. For example: driver details, optional addition of a companion.

    In parallel, you will receive an email within which you must confirm your email address within 24 hours.

  • Step 6: Payment

    You have now reached the final step of the booking process. Here, you may enter your credit card details or select payment via PayPal, and then complete the transaction by clicking 'Pay'

Yes, our driving programs can only be booked online through our webshop. If you do not find the suitable program or preferred date, we are happy to assist you further. Simply email us at: info@porsche-experiencecenter-hockenheimring.de.

A free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before the start of the event. If you are unable to attend your Porsche driving program, please email us at the address provided on your booking confirmation.
You have the option to pay for your Porsche driving program or gastronomy offerings using your credit card or via PayPal.

4. Gift Vouchers

At PEC HHR, we offer pure value vouchers that can be purchased starting from €50. The value voucher can be redeemed for all offered driving programs and gastronomy offerings (excluding Business Lunch and Porsche Shop at PEC HHR). Please note that the voucher will be sent via email as a PDF and not through postal mail.
The voucher must be redeemed for an experience offering within 3 years from the end of the calendar year in which the voucher was issued. After this period, the voucher expires without any obligation for reimbursement by the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring.

    If you are a new customer, it is necessary to create a new account. Fill out the template with the requested information. Upon initial registration, we kindly ask you to confirm the data protection consent once.

5. Visits to the PEC HHR

We kindly ask for your understanding that visits without a prior appointment are not possible. This policy is in consideration of events taking place at the PEC HHR. Paid tours can be arranged via email at info@porsche-experiencecenter-hockenheimring.de. The costs for groups of up to ten people are €50.00 per tour, and for groups of ten to 20 people, the cost is €100.00 per tour.
